Welcome to my blog.

My love for photography started at a very young age. I picked up a camera and never put it down. I was born and raised in Santa Fe and always had a large art influence in my life. When I was old enough to work I got a freelance job with The Santa Fe New Mexican and was there for 6 years. After high school I went to the College of Santa Fe where I earned my bachelors degree. My first commissioned wedding was in 1998 and it was that wedding that I realized that there was something that inspired me. That is also when I realized that I could make a difference through my photography by capturing this special day through my lens, and it was this day that is filled with love, happiness, tears of joy, family, culture, music and everything good.  

 I feel very blessed to have this life and love to share my graces as much as possible to try to make this world a better place. I do thank my parents and three older sisters that have always supported me being an artist. That has always given me the strength to pursue art as my passion.  I would say I am a dreamer. I also feel I am very dedicated and reliable which makes me a good choice for a photographer because I will be here for years to come for your wedding, and when you have babies, and your children grow and fall in love and get married. 

I believe in true love and know that there is someone for everyone. My passion in life is to capture beauty, create art and one of the most beautiful things is love. As an artist I am able to see things very differently than most and it reflects in my work. It is also such an honor when a couple asks me to photograph their special day because they entrust me with a milestone in their lives and I absolutely take that with the most importance. I could see myself photographing weddings for the rest of my life because to me it is more than just a career, it is who I am. I am very fortunate to share my business with my Husband Brian. 

There are also so many people and artists of all mediums that inspire me as an artist. The main artist is Frida Kahlo. Another is poet Federico Garcia Lorca. I find much inspiration in my culture as well as in all cultures and music. My favorite band of all time has to be the Beatles. I guess I am an “old soul” or that is what my Dad tells me……
